Galbi Recipe – Korean Special

Galbi is a classic Korean BBQ dish made with tender beef short ribs marinated in a rich blend of soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil, and sugar. Known for its perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors, this traditional Korean galbi recipe creates juicy, caramelized ribs that are grilled until beautifully charred. Popular in Korean barbecue restaurants, galbi is often served with steamed rice, lettuce wraps, and various side dishes. The marinade deeply enhances the natural flavor of the beef, making every bite tender, smoky, and incredibly delicious.

2

In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, rice wine, and black pepper.

3

Add the ribs to the marinade and coat well.

4

Let the ribs marinate for at least 20 minutes.

5

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

6

Place the marinated ribs on the grill.

7

Cook for about 4–5 minutes on each side.

8

Turn occasionally until the ribs are cooked and slightly caramelized.

Recipe Notes :

Marinating the ribs longer helps the flavors penetrate the meat.

Grilling over charcoal adds a deeper smoky flavor.

Cut flanken-style ribs cook faster and absorb marinade well.

Serve with lettuce leaves, rice, and Korean side dishes.

Sprinkle extra sesame seeds for added texture.
