Khao Phat Ingredients:
- 3 cups cooked jasmine rice
- 2 eggs
- 200 g chicken, shrimp, or pork (diced)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1/2 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas)
- Lime wedges for serving
Khao Phat Instructions:
Heat oil in a wok or large pan over medium-high heat.
Add garlic and sauté briefly until fragrant.
Add the diced meat and cook until done.
Push the mixture aside and scramble the eggs in the pan.
Add the cooked rice and stir-fry well.
Pour in fish sauce, soy sauce, and sugar.
Add mixed vegetables and green onions.
Stir-fry everything together for a few minutes.
Serve hot with lime wedges.
Recipe Notes :
Day-old rice works best for fried rice.
Cook on high heat for better flavor and texture.
Do not overcrowd the pan while stir-frying.
Adjust fish sauce and soy sauce to taste.
