Lavender Lemon Sparkler Ingredients :
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)
- 1/2 cup honey or simple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons dried lavender buds (or 1/4 cup lavender syrup, optional)
- 2 cups sparkling water or club soda
- Ice
- Lemon slices and lavender sprigs for garnish
How to make Lavender Lemon Sparkler :
Infuse Lavender: In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Add the dried lavender buds and reduce heat to a simmer. Let it steep for about 10 minutes. Strain out the lavender buds and let the lavender water cool.
Prepare Lemonade: In a pitcher, combine the lemon juice and honey (or simple syrup). Stir until the honey is completely dissolved. Add the remaining 1 cup of water and the cooled lavender infusion. Mix well.
Add Sparkle: Just before serving, pour in the sparkling water or club soda. Stir gently to combine, ensuring you retain the bubbles.
Serve: Fill glasses with ice and pour the lavender lemonade over. Garnish with lemon slices and lavender sprigs if desired.
Recipe Notes:
Adjust Sweetness: Use more or less honey/simple syrup depending on your preference—taste before adding sparkling water to avoid over-sweetening.
Lavender Intensity: Steep lavender just the right time (about 10 minutes) for floral aroma without bitterness. If using lavender syrup instead of buds, reduce honey/simple syrup amount.
Sparkle Just Before Serving: Add sparkling water or club soda right before serving to retain fizz. Store the base lemonade without fizz for up to 3 days in the fridge.
Serve-ware & Garnish: Use clear glasses to show off the color; garnish with lemon slices and lavender sprigs for visual appeal.
Variations & Add-Ins: Try substituting part of the water with iced herbal tea for added depth or adding a splash of gin or vodka for a cocktail version.
