- 300–350g beef (flank, sirloin, or tenderloin), thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp oyster sauce
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp oil (for stir-frying)
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp crushed black pepper (freshly ground)
For the Sauce:
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 3 tbsp water
- 1 tsp cornstarch (mixed with 1 tbsp water)
Black Pepper Beef Instructions:
Marinate beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, black pepper, and cornstarch.
Heat oil in a pan or wok on high heat.
Stir-fry the marinated beef until browned, then remove and set aside.
In the same pan, add onions, bell peppers, and garlic.
Stir-fry until slightly softened but still crisp.
Return beef to the pan and mix well.
Add the prepared sauce mixture.
Stir and cook until sauce thickens and coats the beef.
Sprinkle fresh crushed black pepper for extra aroma.
Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
