Braised Pork with Cabbage Ingredients:
- 500 g pork shoulder or belly, cut into cubes
- 1/2 head of cabbage, chopped
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil or lard
- 1 cup chicken or vegetable stock
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (optional for Asian-style)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika or smoked paprika (optional)
- Fresh parsley or chives for garnish
Braised Pork with Cabbage Instructions:
Heat oil in a large pan or Dutch oven over medium heat.
Sear pork cubes until browned on all sides.
Remove pork and set aside.
In the same pan, sauté onions until soft.
Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
Add chopped cabbage and stir for a few minutes.
Return pork to the pan.
Pour in stock and add soy sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika.
