Carnitas Ingredients:

  • 500g pork shoulder, cut into chunks
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tbsp oil or lard
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • Lime wedges for serving

Carnitas Instructions:

Heat oil or lard in a large pan over medium heat.

Add pork pieces and sear until browned on all sides.
