Custard Bun Recipe – Europe Special

Custard Bun is a soft, fluffy bread filled with rich and creamy custard, making it a popular treat in many Asian and bakery-style cuisines. These buns are known for their light, airy texture and their deliciously smooth filling made from milk, sugar, and eggs. Often steamed or baked, custard buns have a slightly sweet dough that perfectly complements the silky custard inside. Whether served warm or at room temperature, they offer a comforting and satisfying experience with every bite.
What makes Custard Buns truly special is the contrast between the soft bread exterior and the luscious filling. The custard is smooth, creamy, and mildly sweet with hints of vanilla, creating a delicate balance of flavors. In some variations, the buns have a glossy finish or are topped with a crumb coating for extra texture. Popular as a snack, breakfast item, or dessert, Custard Buns are loved for their simplicity, softness, and rich flavor, making them a favorite in bakeries and homes alike.
