For the Juice:
- 4–5 fresh sugarcane stalks (peeled and cut into small pieces)
- 1-inch piece of fresh ginger (optional)
- 1 small lemon (optional)
- A few fresh mint leaves (optional)
- Ice cubes (for serving)
Prepare the Ingredients:
Peel the outer hard skin of the sugarcane using a knife or cutter.
Cut the sugarcane into small pieces, suitable for your juicer or crusher.
Wash the ginger and mint leaves thoroughly.
Extract the Juice:
Feed the sugarcane pieces into a sugarcane juicer (or use a strong blender if you don’t have one).
Add ginger and mint leaves along with the sugarcane if using for added flavor.
Collect the juice in a bowl or jug. If using a blender, strain the juice through a fine sieve or muslin cloth to remove pulp.
Flavor and Serve:
Squeeze fresh lemon juice into the extracted sugarcane juice.
Mix well and pour into glasses.
Add ice cubes and serve immediately for best taste.
