Gochujang Glazed Chicken Ingredients
- 600 g boneless chicken thighs or breast, cut into pieces
- 2 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1½ tbsp honey or brown sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar or lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp cornstarch (optional, for thick glaze)
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
For Garnish
- Sesame seeds
- Chopped spring onions
Gochujang Glazed Chicken Instructions
Prepare the Sauce
In a bowl, mix gochujang, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger until smooth.
Cook the Chicken
Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook for 6–8 minutes until lightly golden and nearly cooked through.
Add the Sauce
Lower the heat and pour the prepared sauce over the chicken. Stir well to coat all pieces evenly.
Thicken the Glaze (Optional)
Mix cornstarch with water and add it to the pan. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
Finish & Serve
Turn off heat. Garnish with sesame seeds and spring onions. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
Recipe Notes :
Adjust spice level by adding more or less gochujang.
Chicken thighs stay juicier, but breast works well too.
Add vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli for a complete meal.
