Hotdog Roll-Ups Ingredients :
- 8 hot dogs
- 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough (or biscuit dough)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice, optional)
- 1 tablespoon mustard or ketchup (optional, for spreading on dough)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for topping)
- Cooking spray or butter (for greasing)
How to make Hotdog Roll-Ups :
Preheat the oven:Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray or brush with melted butter.
Prepare the dough:Unroll the crescent roll dough (or biscuit dough) onto a flat surface. If using crescent dough, separate it into individual triangles. For biscuit dough, flatten each biscuit into a small oval or circle with your hands or a rolling pin.
Add cheese (optional):If you’d like to include cheese, place a small amount of shredded cheese in the center of each dough piece.
Wrap the hot dogs:Place a hot dog on the wide end of each crescent triangle (or in the center of each flattened biscuit). Roll up the dough around the hot dog, pinching the edges to seal it.
Bake:Place the wrapped hot dogs onto the prepared baking sheet, seam-side down. Optionally, sprinkle sesame seeds on top for a bit of crunch and flavor. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and fully cooked.
Serve:Allow the hotdog roll-ups to cool for a couple of minutes before serving. Serve with mustard, ketchup, or your favorite dipping sauces on the side.
Recipe Notes :
Use crescent roll dough for light, flaky wrapping—alternatively, puff pastry or tortillas work, too.
Place a slice of melting cheese center (like cheddar, American, or Colby Jack) inside for irresistible ooey-gooey texture.
Serve with dipping sauces such as ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce, or honey mustard to elevate the flavor.
You can bake or air fry—bake at 375 °F until golden (~10–12 min), or air fry at 400 °F for quicker turn, about 5 minutes.
