- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup toasted pine nuts or almonds (optional garnish)

Pilav with Chicken or Lamb Instructions:
Rinse rice thoroughly until water runs clear; soak 15–20 minutes.
Heat oil or ghee in a large pot; sauté onions and garlic until soft and fragrant.
Add meat and brown on all sides, seasoning with salt, pepper, cumin, and optional spices.
Drain rice and add to the pot; stir to coat grains with oil and spices.
