  • 1 and ½ cups water (divided)
  • 2 cups caster sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 25 grams gelatin powder
  • 1 tablespoon rosewater
  • A few drops of red food coloring
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar

How to Make Rose Turkish Delight Recipe:

1

Prepare a small loaf pan by greasing it and lining it with parchment paper, then greasing the paper as well.

2

In a bowl or jug, combine cornstarch with ½ cup of water and stir thoroughly.

3

In a large saucepan, combine the remaining water, cornstarch mixture, sugar, lemon juice, and gelatin. Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the sugar and gelatin dissolve and the mixture begins to boil.

4

Simmer for 25 minutes until the mixture thickens and becomes glossy. Allow it to cool for 10 minutes.

5

Stir in the rosewater and add red food coloring as desired.

6

Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Let it set overnight at room temperature, for at least 8 hours.

7

Remove the block of Turkish delight from the pan and cut it into cubes. Arrange the cubes on a board or plate, leaving space between them, and let them sweat for 24 hours.

8

Mix together powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Dip each piece of Turkish delight into the mixture to coat evenly.
