Shakshuka Ingredients:
- 2 cups tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
- 3 eggs
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish
Shakshuka Instructions:
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add chopped onion and sauté until soft.
Stir in garlic and bell pepper and cook briefly.
Add tomato sauce, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
Simmer the sauce for a few minutes.
Make small wells in the sauce with a spoon.
Crack the eggs into the wells.
Cover the pan and cook until the eggs are set.
Remove from heat and garnish with parsley or cilantro.
Serve hot with bread.
