- Prep Time5 min
- Total Time5 min
For the Drink:
- 1 cup red wine (Spanish table wine or any dry red wine)
- 1 cup lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7Up) or gaseosa (Spanish mild citrus soda)
- Ice cubes (as needed)
- Lemon or orange slices (for garnish)
Optional Add-ins:
- A splash of vermouth (for a stronger twist)
- Mint leaves (for an herbal note)
Mix the Drink:
Fill a tall glass halfway with ice cubes.
Pour in 1 cup of red wine.
Add 1 cup of lemon-lime soda or gaseosa.
Stir gently to combine.
Garnish and Serve:
Add a slice of lemon or orange to the rim or into the drink for a citrusy flair.
Optionally, toss in a mint leaf or two for freshness.
Serve immediately while cold and bubbly.
Recipe Notes :
Wine Choice : A young, fruity red wine works best—nothing too fancy! Spanish wines like Tempranillo or Garnacha are traditional.
Soda Substitutes : You can use tonic water for a less sweet version or club soda with a splash of simple syrup.
Adjust Strength : Like it lighter? Use more soda than wine. Want it bolder? Use more wine or add vermouth.
Batch It Up : Multiply the ingredients and mix in a pitcher for parties or gatherings.
