Eintopf Ingredients:
- 300g beef, pork, or sausage, diced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil or butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2–3 carrots, diced
- 2–3 potatoes, diced
- 1 leek, sliced (optional)
- 1/2 small cabbage, chopped
- 1 cup green beans or peas (optional)
- 4 cups beef or vegetable broth
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Eintopf Instructions:
Heat oil or butter in a large pot over medium heat.
Sauté onions until translucent and fragrant.
Add diced meat and brown on all sides.
Add carrots, potatoes, leek, and cabbage; sauté for a few minutes.
Pour in broth and add bay leaves, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 45–60 minutes until vegetables and meat are tender.
Add green beans or peas in the last 10 minutes of cooking.
Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
Remove bay leaves before serving.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot, optionally with crusty bread.
