Sesame Brittle Dessert Ingredients :
- 1 cup white sesame seeds
- 3/4 cup sugar or powdered jaggery
- 1 tbsp water
- 1/2 tsp ghee or butter (for greasing)
- Optional: A pinch of cardamom powder
Sesame Brittle Dessert Instructions:
Dry roast sesame seeds on low heat until lightly golden and aromatic. Set aside.
In a pan, heat sugar or jaggery with water until it melts and forms a golden syrup.
Cook syrup until it reaches hard-crack stage.
Quickly add roasted sesame seeds and cardamom (if using). Mix well.
Pour mixture onto a greased surface.
Flatten with a greased rolling pin or spatula.
Cut into pieces while still warm.
Let cool completely until crisp.
