Sweet Cottage Cheese Pastry Ingredients:
- 1 sheet puff pastry or shortcrust pastry
- 1 cup cottage cheese (smooth or lightly mashed)
- 1/4 cup sugar or honey
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp lemon zest (optional)
- 1 tbsp butter (optional)
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Sweet Cottage Cheese Pastry Instructions:
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Roll out pastry and place in a greased baking dish or tray.
In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, sugar, egg, vanilla, and lemon zest.
Spread filling evenly over the pastry.
Fold or shape pastry edges as desired.
Dot with small pieces of butter if using.
