Grilled Maple Salmon Recipe – Asian Special

The sweet-sour marinade is reduced to a thick glaze, which is brushed onto the salmon while cooking. The citrus and maple flavors would also complement pork well. For added presentation, consider garnishing the fillets with orange slices.

Grilled Maple Salmon Ingredients :

  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
  • 4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets, skin removed
  • Cooking spray
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

How To Make Grilled Maple Salmon :

1

Combine the first 3 ingredients in a large zip-top plastic bag. Add the fish, seal the bag, and marinate in the refrigerator for 3 hours.

2

Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

3

Remove the fish from the bag, keeping the marinade. Pour the marinade into a small saucepan and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until it is reduced to about 2 tablespoons, approximately 5 minutes.

4

Place the fish on the grill rack or pan coated with cooking spray. Grill for 4 minutes on each side or until the fish flakes easily with a fork or reaches your desired degree of doneness. Occasionally baste the fish with the reserved marinade while grilling.

5

Remove the fish from the grill and sprinkle with salt and pepper before serving.
