  • 2 tbsp tomato paste

  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1–2 cups water or beef stock
  • Juice of 1 lemon (optional, for tanginess)
