- ½ teaspoon of salt
- 3 mashed bananas
- ¾ cup of white sugar
- ⅓ cup of melted butter

- 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
- 1/8 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon of butter
How to Make Banana Crumb Muffins :
Gather all the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease or line 10 muffin cups with paper liners.
To prepare the muffins, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
In a separate bowl, mash the bananas and mix them with white sugar, melted butter, and beaten egg.
Stir the banana mixture into the flour mixture until just combined.
Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
For the crumb topping, mix brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon in a small bowl. Use a fork to incorporate 1 tablespoon of butter until the mixture becomes crumbly. Sprinkle the topping over the muffins.
Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 18 to 20 minutes.
Serve and enjoy!
Recipe Notes
Banana ripeness: Overripe bananas with brown spots give the best natural sweetness and flavor.
Topping texture: For a chunkier crumb topping, chill the butter before cutting it into the mixture.
Storage: Keep muffins in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days, or refrigerate for up to a week.
Freezing tip: Wrap muffins individually and freeze for up to 3 months; reheat for a quick snack or breakfast.
Flavor variations: Add chocolate chips, walnuts, or pecans to the batter for extra crunch and sweetness.
Serving ideas: Pair warm muffins with coffee or tea, or enjoy them as a light dessert after meals.
