German Ham and Cheese Sliders Ingredients:

  • 12 slider buns or dinner rolls
  • 250g (9 oz) Black Forest ham or any smoked ham, thinly sliced
  • 200g (7 oz) Swiss cheese, sliced or shredded
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds (optional)
  • Fresh chives or parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Preheat Oven:

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Assemble Sliders:

Slice slider buns in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves in the baking dish. Layer ham evenly, then add cheese. Top with the bun tops.

Make the Glaze:

In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and poppy seeds.

Brush and Bake:

Brush the glaze generously over the tops of the sliders. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 5 minutes until golden and cheese is melted.
