Italian Almond Biscotti Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 3/4 cup whole or chopped almonds
- Zest of 1 orange or lemon (optional)
Italian Almond Biscotti Instructions:
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add eggs, vanilla, and almond extract. Mix to form a dough.
Fold in almonds and citrus zest if using.
Shape dough into a log and place on the baking tray.
Bake for 25–30 minutes until lightly golden.
Remove and cool slightly, then slice diagonally into biscotti
Arrange slices cut-side down on the tray.
Bake again for 10–15 minutes, flipping once, until crisp and dry.
Cool completely before storing.
