  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
  • 1 small cinnamon stick or a few cloves (optional for added flavor)

Prepare the Fruits:

Wash and peel fruits if needed. Cut larger fruits like apples or pears into chunks.

If using dried fruits, give them a quick rinse to remove any residue.

Cook the Kompot:

In a large pot, combine the water, fruits, and sugar.

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.

Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for about 15–20 minutes, or until the fruits are soft and the flavors have infused into the water.

Recipe Notes :

Fruit Options : Use whatever fruit you have available. Apples, berries, and dried apricots work great. Frozen fruit can also be used.
