Lavender Lemon Sparkler Ingredients :
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)
- 1/2 cup honey or simple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons dried lavender buds (or 1/4 cup lavender syrup, optional)
- 2 cups sparkling water or club soda
- Ice
- Lemon slices and lavender sprigs for garnish
How to make Lavender Lemon Sparkler :
Infuse Lavender: In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Add the dried lavender buds and reduce heat to a simmer. Let it steep for about 10 minutes. Strain out the lavender buds and let the lavender water cool.
Prepare Lemonade: In a pitcher, combine the lemon juice and honey (or simple syrup). Stir until the honey is completely dissolved. Add the remaining 1 cup of water and the cooled lavender infusion. Mix well.
Add Sparkle: Just before serving, pour in the sparkling water or club soda. Stir gently to combine, ensuring you retain the bubbles.
Serve: Fill glasses with ice and pour the lavender lemonade over. Garnish with lemon slices and lavender sprigs if desired.
Recipe Notes:
Adjust Sweetness: You can tweak the amount of honey or simple syrup based on your sweetness preference.
Lavender Intensity: If using lavender syrup, reduce the amount of honey to avoid over-sweetening.
Infusion Time: Over-steeping lavender can make it bitter, so stick to the recommended steeping time.
Storage: For best results, serve immediately after adding the sparkling water to maintain the fizz. Store the lemonade without the sparkling water in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Add the sparkling water just before serving.
