- 1 baguette or Italian bread loaf
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tsp dried)
- Salt, to taste
Optional:
- grated Parmesan or mozzarella for cheesy garlic bread

Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Slice the top off the garlic bulb to expose the cloves, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 30–35 minutes until soft and golden.
Prepare Garlic Butter:
Let garlic cool slightly, then squeeze roasted cloves into a bowl. Mash with softened butter, parsley, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
Prep Bread:
Slice bread in half lengthwise. Spread the garlic butter evenly over both cut sides.
Toast:
Place bread on a baking sheet and toast in the oven at 200°C (400°F) for 8–10 minutes until golden and crisp. For extra crispiness, broil for the last 1–2 minutes.
Serve:
Slice and serve warm, optionally topped with cheese before baking.
