Basic Crepes Recipe – French Special

Crepes are incredibly versatile but can sometimes seem daunting to make. Fear not! With this easy recipe, you can bid farewell to lumpy batter and messy flipping mishaps that leave more batter on the ceiling than in the pan. Using a blender ensures a smooth batter, and we recommend using a spatula for gently flipping these beautifully crisp and golden crepes. To achieve that perfect golden hue, try wiping the hot pan with butter for an even color.

Similar to pancakes but with their own special charm, crepes can be enjoyed sweet or savory, making them beloved worldwide. Originating from France, they have become a favorite on Pancake Day (Shrove Tuesday) in the UK, often enjoyed simply with sugar and lemon juice. It’s a simple yet delightful treat!
