Chateaubriand Steak Ingredients:

  • 500–700 g beef tenderloin center cut (châteaubriand)
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary
  • Optional sauce (béarnaise, red wine, or mushroom sauce)

Chateaubriand Steak Instructions:

Bring the beef to room temperature before cooking.

Season generously with salt and black pepper on all sides.

Heat olive oil and butter in an oven-safe pan over high heat.

Sear the beef on all sides until deeply browned.

Add garlic and fresh herbs to the pan.

Transfer the pan to a preheated oven at 200°C.
