Chinese Chicken Wings Ingredients :
- Prepare soy sauce chicken wings using:
- 2 cups soy sauce
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 5 pounds of chicken wings, split with tips removed
How To Make Chinese Chicken Wings
Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, and garlic powder in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let it cool.
Place chicken wings in a large bowl. Pour the cooled soy sauce mixture over the wings and toss to coat evenly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight to marinate.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Transfer the chicken wings and marinade into a 9×13-inch baking dish. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes until thoroughly heated. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes. Serve hot.
Recipe Notes:
Marinate the wings for at least 8 hours, preferably overnight, to fully infuse that soy-sweet garlic flavor.
Use a wide, shallow baking dish to ensure even sauce coverage and better caramelization.
Cover with foil during the first bake to steam and tenderize, then remove for the last 15 minutes to allow caramelized edges to form.
Baste the wings with reserved marinade halfway through baking for an extra sticky glaze.
Serve hot right from the oven to enjoy that crisp, saucy coating at its best.
