Nasi Goreng Recipe – Asian Special

Nasi Goreng is Indonesia’s beloved fried rice dish, infused with bold, smoky flavor and often topped with a fried egg. This version uses day-old rice for the best texture, stir-fried with garlic, onion (or shallot), red chilies, and kecap manis (sweet soy sauce), producing a beautiful balance of sweet, savory, and spicy tones. Whether you add chicken, shrimp, or tofu, it’s an adaptable dish that brings comfort any time of day—and hits the spot on busy weeknights or lazy weekends.
